Did you know that your skincare routine can make a big difference in how well your skin looks and functions? Your skincare routine should be as effective as possible so that it’s only taking up a few minutes of your time each day. If you’re looking to increase the effectiveness of your skincare regimen, then check out these steps:
Establish a skincare routine
This may seem like a no-brainer, but so many people don’t maintain a skincare routine! It can be so easy to forget about your skin during the day and then neglect your daily skincare at night. It’s important to establish a skincare routine so that you’re preventing potential issues before they occur. Here are a few steps to take:
Wash Your Face – In a gentle cleanser, remove all traces of makeup. If you wear mascara, use a separate cleanser to remove it. You can also use a foaming cleanser if you have sensitive skin.
Protect Your Skin From UV Rays – You need to protect your skin from the sun so that it can produce the vitamin D that your skin needs. So, how do you protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays? One way is to wear sunscreen when you’re outside, but it’s also important to stay inside during the day so that you’re not accidentally splashing your skin with the UV rays from the sun’s rays.
Use a Broad-Spectrum Spiffing Agent – There are so many different products out there that are targeted towards one specific issue, but aren’t actually all that great for your overall skin type. We recommend using a broad-spectrum spiffing agent on all of your skin types, including oily skin, combination skin, and dry skin. It will help clean your skin better while keeping your skin healthy and young.
Take Your Skin Seriously – It’s important to take care of your skin but also not to overthink it. You don’t need to spend $80 on a fancy skincare product to get the job done. If you have oily skin, try an oil-free cleanser and toner that’s perfect for your skin type. If you have normal or dry skin, we recommend a moisturiser that can hydrate and protect your skin.
Wash Your Face
Washing your face is arguably the most important step in your skincare routine. It should be a routine that you look forward to, not something you feel guilty about doing. Why is washing your face so important? Simply put, water helps remove toxins from your body and cleanses your skin. Without washing your face, these toxins build up on your skin and can cause blemishes and whiteheads. When your skin is dirty, the pores on your face are open and easier to get dirt and acne in. If you’re not washing your face daily, then you’re creating a breeding ground for acne and blackheads. We recommend washing your face at least twice a day. If you’re not sure when you should wash your face, try to wash it when you’re not hungry or when you’re having a snack or snack-like food.
Once Your Face is Washable - It’s important to make sure that your face is actually clean before you start to clean it. If you’re not sure whether your face is clean, try to gently scrub your face with a brush or a cleansing pad. If your face is oily or combination, then you may wish to use a micellar water to remove excess oil. If your skin is dry or affected by acne, then a gentle cleanser is recommended.
Protect Your Skin From UV Rays
Wearing sunscreen at the beach or in the park can be a great idea, but you should also wear it when you’re outside during the day. If you’re not wearing sunscreen, then you’re essentially putting your skin at risk by not protecting it from the sun’s UV rays. You need to protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays in two different ways. First, you need to wear sunscreen when you’re outside during the day. When you’re outside during the day, you’re essentially putting your skin in less danger of getting sun damage because the UV rays are less intense. UV rays are more intense during the day when the sun is directly overhead and you’re outside. You should wear sunscreen with a SPF value of at least 30 ( blocks UV rays from reaching your skin) and wear it for 30 minutes after you take your medication or before you go to sleep.
Take Your Skin Seriously
We don’t know about you, but we always end up with a whitehead or two when we’re trying to build a skincare routine. And guess what? Whiteheads and blackheads are breeding grounds for acne and may lead to regular acne breakouts. We recommend picking up a skinacea or acne medication and following your skincare routine exactly because it works for your skin type and helps keep your skin clear.
